The Job Details section is where you lay out all the essential information about your open roles, like duties, qualifications, location, and perks. This is what candidates will check out first to see if they’re interested in applying, so make it count! 🚀
How to Create a Job 📝
There are a couple of ways to start creating a job in Mega:
On your Home page, click the ‘+ Add Job’ button.
Or, head to the Jobs page and select ‘+ Add Job Posting’.
Here's everything you can include in the Job Details:
Job Title
Think of your job title as the headline for the role. It describes the position, function, or a catchy term to market the role. If this is your first time coming up with a job title, make sure it clearly explains what the job is about and what kind of responsibilities it includes.
Employment Type
Choosing the right employment type is a must—it helps your job stand out on our partner job boards. Here are your options:
Full-time
Part-time
Contract
Internship (Paid)
Internship (Unpaid)
Temporary
Other
Pick the one that best matches your opening!
Work Type
This tells candidates how they’ll work and helps find the right match for your team. In today’s world, you have three main choices:
On-site: Working from the office 🏢
Remote: Working from anywhere 🌍
Hybrid: A mix of both office and remote 🔄
Job Description
Write out your job description in our rich text editor or paste it from another source. Want a little help getting started? Enter your job title and click ‘Generate Description’ to let Megan create a draft for you. Easy! ✨
Office Location
Even if the job is remote, give candidates some details about your office location or where you’re hiring from. When you select a country, additional fields may show up (some might be required) to ensure our job board partners can connect you with the right candidates. 📍
Once a location is created, it is saved so you can quickly pick it for future use.
Department
A department is the part of your company responsible for a specific area, like Sales or Accounting. Adding this helps keep things organized for both candidates and your hiring team. You can always update departments as needed. 📂
Job Code
Assigning a job code to each role helps maintain a clean and organized job framework. Job codes are useful for human resources, talent management, and compensation systems. 🔢
Salary Range
Listing salary info can attract candidates who might not be actively looking but are open to new opportunities. Plus, sharing salary ranges helps you filter out applicants who aren't a match for the role. 💰
Salaries can be added but not displayed to keep it confidential.
That's it! Take your time filling out each section to create an appealing and informative job posting. Good luck!
